Work in progress | Dadmin
Dadmin is a reflective exploration of the evolving role of care, family, and memory. The work delves into my personal history with my father, whose mental health issues and eventual battle with mixed dementia shaped our relationship. Growing up, my sister and I were left with him, and we navigated the challenges of his instability together. After many years of physical and emotional distance, I became his caregiver, supporting him at home for two years as his dementia progressed. Through this work, I reflect on the complexities of love, duty, and loss that come with caregiving, and the bittersweet reality of balancing the roles of both daughter and caregiver.
