Work in Progress | Holding Without Harm
Holding Without Harm is a new body of work rooted in the Isle of Portland, Dorset, a place shaped by quarrying, convict labour, military infrastructure, and coastal erosion. The project explores how these histories remain embedded within the landscape through fissures, barriers, exposed edges, and remnants of human intervention. Rather than approaching the land as passive scenery, the work considers it as an unstable and active site where extraction, weathering, and ecological change continue to reshape what has been imposed upon it.
